The Fat Man - Maurice Gee

This story line has a chilling suspense. Maurice Gee has written this novel in a way where we know things that certain characters don’t but we are still left with questions. I wouldn’t call this book a page turner because I don’t find myself wanting to read more but I do find the storyline interesting. Maurice Gee had described the fat man very well and I think he is a creepy character!

  9. When I read the novel for the first time, I was hooked in to the story because I wanted to find out what Herbert Muskie planned to do - how he would carry out his plan to damage or ruin his tormentors ie. The Potter family and his own family. I think there is a human fascination with evil even though we hate it. What do you think, Pixel-Rita?
